QUALIFICATIONS:  Mental development and maturity normally attained through the completion of two (2) years of high school.  Ability to read, write in English and follow oral direction.  Good moral character, good physical condition, high degree of personal cleanliness and hygiene.  Willingness to cooperate with supervisor, fellow employees and department heads.  Institutional food service experience desirable but not necessary. RESPONSIBILITIES:  Performs routine duties in the preparation and service of food for residents according to established policies and procedures. QUALIFICATIONS: Must be at least 18 years of age or older, be of good moral character, and in good mental and physical health.  Must be a high school graduate with Nursing Assistant License for the 8hr position.  Activity Certification is preferred.  Must have current NH drivers’ license, good driving record.  Must have some background in arts, crafts, creative thinking and possess organizational ability.  Must be willing to profit from consultants, In-Service programs, special workshops and other available resources.  Tact, patience, affection for and empathy with the aged and their special affection for and empathy with the aged and their special needs and limitations is required.  Must possess the ability to utilize these qualities to adapt all programs to the geriatric setting.  Must be capable of working independently.  Must be able to read and write in English. RESPONSIBILITIES:  The Activity Aide works under the direct supervision of the Activity Director or Resident Services Coordinator III.  Organizes and directs arts and crafts programs, social events and other activity programs for groups and on a one-to-one basis.  The aide does some record keeping and assists with some charting as directed.  Supervises residents during activities and complies with safety regulations and policies.  Cares for and utilizes supplies and equipment.
