Basic Solid Waste Facility Operator Training for First-Time Applicants
NHDES has cancelled all in-person training for the remainder of 2020 for the health and safety of attendees as well as NHDES Staff. The Solid Waste Operator Training Program is providing online training for operators including Basic Training sessions. Upon receipt of an initial application, NHDES will send the applicant a letter with the registration link for the scheduled classes. Applicants are required to register for and attend one of the scheduled sessions. (Instructions for Registering and Logging in to the Online SWOT Basic Training).
Basic Training will begin promptly at 8:30 am, operators are strongly encouraged to arrive no later than 8:15 am to sign in. Testing begins around 2:30 pm. There will be breaks allotted throughout the day including a 30 minute lunch break.
Solid waste facility operators who don't have Processed Applicant status must submit an initial application and $50 fee within 30 days of employment at a NH permitted solid waste facility. If you have any questions, please contact us at SWOT@des.nh.gov or (603) 271-3713. |
