One form of Employee Misclassification occurs when a worker is improperly treated as an independent contractor when he or she is really an employee. If you think an employer – whether your own employer or another – is misclassifying its workers or committing other violations of NH’s laws that relate in any way to employment,
we want to know!
Please include as much information as possible. All allegations are treated seriously, and all information will be maintained in a fully secure environment and kept confidential to the extent allowed by NH laws. If you want to talk to a Labor Department inspector, call 271-1492 or 271-6294; the identity of such callers is not disclosed outside the department, under RSA 275:51. While reports may be made anonymously, please include contact information if at all possible in order to allow follow-up questions in the event that more information is required to adequately investigate the report.
