Position: Line Cook Name of Employer: Loon Mountain Recreation Corporation, d/b/a Loon Mountain Resort Positions Available: Five (5), full-time and temporary Location of Employment: 60 Loon Mountain Road, Lincoln, NH 03251 (Grafton County) Position Duties: Line cooks will be responsible for preparing all menu items as necessary by using prescribed portions and cooking procedures. As a customer focused organization, a crucial part of each employees' job is to get and keep guests. This is achieved by exceeding guests' expectations. Line Cooks will prepare food for guests and employees by following cooking procedures described in built-to manuals; place and display foods in serving containers; set-up and stock food items and other necessary supplies; fill customer requests by arranging chosen food items, adding prescribed garnishes and handing meals to customers; maintain food line supplies and replenishing food at workstation. Rate of Pay: $16.50/hour + DOE (The employer will pay or exceed the prevailing wage, as determined by the US Dept of Labor.) One free meal per shift and retail discounts. Free ski pass, ski lessons and ski rentals. Potential tips for special events. Hours per Week: 40 (OT is possible, to be paid at $24.75/hour + DOE) Start Date: 11/01/2022 End Date: 04/20/2023 Work hours: 40 hrs/wk. Work schedule can vary and can include evenings, weekends, and holidays. Work can be performed on any day of the week Monday - Sunday. Days off and shift hours may vary. Shifts are 7:00am – 4pm, 8am – 5pm, 9:30am – 6:30pm. Shift hours vary for special events. Single workweek will be used to compute wages due. Workers will be paid every week by check or direct deposit. All deductions from the workers’ paycheck required by law will be made. Housing is offered and optional. Cost of housing, if accepted, is $110.00 per week, and includes utilities. If used, total cost of housing will be deducted from the employee's paycheck. A refundable security deposit of $200.00 is due, to be paid in full upfront directly to the employer. Transportation is provided from housing to/from worksite. 6 months experience required. THE PETITIONER WILL CONSIDER FOR EMPLOYMENT ANY PERSON WHO POSSESSES AT LEAST SIX (6) MONTHS OF EXPERIENCE IN A FINE-DINING OR HIGH-VOLUME ENVIRONMENT AT A HIGH-END RESTAURANT, RESORT, OR PRIVATE CLUB. No min education or training required. On-the-job training is provided. Transportation (including meals and, to the extent necessary, lodging) to the place of employment will be provided, or its cost to workers reimbursed, by check separate from payroll, if the worker completes half the employment period. Return transportation will be provided if the worker completes the employment period or is dismissed early by the employer. In other words, if the worker completes 50% of the work contract period, the employer will reimburse the worker for transportation and subsistence from the place of recruitment to the place of work by check separate from payroll. Upon completion of the work contract period, or where the employee is dismissed earlier, the employer will provide or pay for the workers reasonable cost of return transportation and subsistence back home or the place the worker originally departed to work, except where the worker will not return due to subsequent employment with another employer. The amount of transportation payment or reimbursement will be equal to the most economical and reasonable common carrier for the distances involved. Daily subsistence will be provided at a rate of $14.00 per day during travel to a maximum of $59.00 per day with receipts. The employer guarantees to offer work for hours equal to at least three-fourths of the workdays in each 12-week period of the total employment period. H-2B workers will be reimbursed in the first work week all visa, visa processing, border crossing, and other related fees, including those mandated by the government (excluding passport fees). The employer will provide workers at no charge all tools, supplies, and equipment required to perform the job.
