Purchasing Associate Full Time Londonderry or Salem, NH Requisition ID: 1018 Apply PURCHASING ASSOCIATE BASIC FUNCTION: The successful Purchasing Associate (clerical) will assist Purchasing Department personnel with daily tasks related to the procurement of goods and services. DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES: • Expedite orders. • Maintain purchasing data in Dynamics. • Create quote request and maintain in Dynamics. • Prepare purchase orders as requested and directed by the Manager. • Is customer focused, both internal and external. • Perform other related duties as assigned. REQUIRED SKILLS: • The Purchasing Associate must have effective computer, internet, and telephone skills. • A working knowledge of Microsoft Office Suite. • Must have the ability to read and comprehend instructions and correspondence. • Must be able to write clearly. • Must be able to effectively present information to internal and external customers. • Ability to be a team player and assist all members of the Purchasing Department. • Attention to detail and accuracy. • Ability to multi-task in a fast-paced manufacturing environment. EDUCATION and EXPERIENCE: • Associate Degree in Business or equivalent professional level of knowledge that includes work experience, alternative education, and training certification. • Clerical and/or Purchasing experience in a technical manufacturing environment is a plus. SUPERVISION: The Purchasing Associate reports to the Director of Supply Chain. This position has no supervisory responsibilities.
